How parents can get involved and make a meaningful impact at Canggu Community School
One of the things that sets Canggu Community School apart is the deep sense of connection that flows through our community — not just among students and staff, but with parents as well.
This week, I’d like to shine a light on a very special part of our school culture: Friends of Canggu Community School, or as we affectionately call it, FoCCS — our Parent-Teacher Association.
FoCCS is more than a volunteer group. It’s a powerful way for parents to engage with the life of the school, connect with one another, and contribute to our shared mission of learning, respect, balance, and engagement.

FoCCS is the heartbeat of our parent community. It brings together parents, caregivers, and staff who want to support school life in meaningful and joyful ways.
From organizing events to welcoming new families, helping with fundraising, supporting staff appreciation, and championing community causes — FoCCS helps make CCS feel like home.
At its core, FoCCS is about collaboration, creativity, and connection.
Whether you have five minutes or five hours, there are many ways to be part of FoCCS:
No experience required — just a willingness to contribute, connect, and be part of something special.
When parents are engaged, schools are stronger. At CCS, we believe that parent involvement:
FoCCS also plays a vital role in supporting events that build memories — the kinds that students will remember long after they’ve graduated from CCS Bali.
To all our FoCCS members — past, present, and future — thank you. Your creativity, energy, and generosity help bring our mission to life in ways that go far beyond the classroom.
And if you’re new to CCS or considering getting more involved: this is your invitation. Come as you are, bring what you can, and help shape the CCS experience for your child and for our entire community.
You can always reach out to our FoCCS coordinators or check for updates via ccsbali.com and the CCS weekly newsletter.
At Canggu Community School, we’re not just building strong learners — we’re building a strong community. And when families and schools come together in partnership, the possibilities are endless.
Until next week — stay connected, stay engaged, and thank you for being a Friend of CCS.
Warmly,
Dr. Ben Voborsky
