As we move through the school year and celebrate the many successes already unfolding at Canggu Community School, it’s an ideal time to pause and reconnect with something that sits at the heart of our progress:

More than just a document, our plan is a shared commitment. It’s the roadmap guiding our decisions, our priorities, and our purpose — ensuring that we grow with intention and stay true to the CCS vision of innovating, thriving, and making an impact.
This week, I’d like to reflect on why the strategic plan matters — and offer a reminder of how it continues to shape our school community in real and exciting ways.

In the busy rhythm of school life, it’s easy to get caught in the day-to-day. But our strategic plan brings us back to the big picture. It ensures that every initiative — from classroom innovation to campus development — is rooted in our core values of learning, respect, balance, and engagement.
It also reflects the collective voices of our staff, students, families, and community partners. This isn’t a top-down plan — it’s a living vision we’re building together.
Here are just a few of the ways the strategic plan is coming to life across our campus:
We’re strengthening academic offerings at every level. These efforts reflect our commitment to preparing students not only for university, but for life in a dynamic global society.
Our wellbeing strategy is expanding to support the social, emotional, and physical health of every learner. With increased pastoral care, mindfulness practices, and family partnerships, we’re living our value of balance — supporting students to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
Service learning is not an add-on — it’s a core part of who we are. Through Gotong Royong, we’re embedding sustainability, community service, and student-led social impact projects across all year levels. This reflects our belief in collective action and global citizenship.
We continue to lead with innovation in digital learning, supported by teacher training, student engagement in real-world applications, and a thoughtful AI integration policy. We want our students to be not just users of technology, but ethical and creative problem-solvers for the future.
The beauty of a strong strategic plan is that it grows with us. It anchors us during change, inspires innovation, and helps us stay aligned — even as new opportunities arise. At CCS Bali, it’s how we ensure that every step forward is a step toward our shared mission.
