As an approved and registered Cambridge International Centre (CIC), CCS will teach Cambridge's International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) courses from August 2009. CIE, a part of Cambridge University, is a not-for-profit organisation and is the world’s largest provider of international qualifications for 14-19 year olds. Pupils are generally sixteen years of age when they complete the two-year course, taught in Years 10 and 11. It is possible to complete some IGCSE subjects more quickly, with intensive study.
At CCS, pupils are encouraged to choose subjects that help them gain the International Certificate of Education (ICE) offered by CIE. It is possible to progress to A Level or other pre-university courses such as International Baccalaureate and US Advanced Placement without the ICE, providing the required number of subjects and grades have been achieved.
At all times, pupils are encouraged to gain knowledge and skills that will allow them to successfully take their place in any educational or employment environment around the world and to develop a positive attitude to life-long learning.

IGCSE (Years 10-11)
In total, CCS is able to offer over twenty IGCSE subjects. However, the number taught to pupils each year will vary according to the number of pupils and their selections.
