FoCCS

The Friends of Canggu Community School (FoCCS) was established in 2004 as a parent committee with the aim of fostering the link between CCS and our parents, guardians and friends. The primary task of FoCCS is to organise a variety of social activities, most of which are fundraising initiatives that will ultimately benefit the children and the School. From its inception, this partnership between FoCCS and CCS has proven to be a valuable asset, encouraging parents to take an active role in their child’s school and promoting a range of social and fundraising events.

Membership of FoCCS is open at any time to:

  1. All parents and guardians of pupils in attendance at Canggu Community School .
  2. All members of the teaching staff
  3. School Governors as Honorary Members, entitled to attend meetings but do not have a vote.  

FoCCSA Committee consisting of four Officers and up to 10 Ordinary Committee Members manage the business of FoCCS. The Officers are:

  • Chair
  • Vice Chair
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer

The 10 other Ordinary Committee Members are comprised of 8 parents and 2 members of the teaching staff with one of the Committee members being a Class Representative responsible for reporting to all the other Class Representatives.

The Committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and serves until commencement of the following AGM. The Committee meets once a month or more if deemed necessary by the Committee.
