Age/Year Group Placement
Placements at CCS are made according to a pupil's age on 1st September. Click to download Age/Year Group Placement Chart.
Class Sizes
The number of pupils in classes varies according to the key stages of learning, as outlined below.
- Early Years Foundation Stage (Pre-school and Reception): 20 pupils
- Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2): 22 pupils
- Key Stage 2 (Years 3 - 6): 24 pupils
- Key Stage 3 (Years 7 - 9): 24 pupils
- Key Stage 4 (IGCSE - Years 10 and 11): 24 pupils *
- Senior School (A Level - Years 12 and 13): To be finalised **
* The number of pupils in many IGCSE classes will be less as this will depend on pupils’ subject selections.
** CCS is planning for the first A Level classes to commence in 2011.
Under extenuating circumstances, for example to accommodate a new teacher’s child or a pupil repeating a year, it may be necessary to exceed this number.

Waiting Lists
In the event that a year group is already full when a registration is completed, the pupil will be placed on a waiting list. Placement on a waiting list cannot be made until the Registration Fee is received and it does not guarantee a place for the starting date that is requested as it is still dependent upon a place being available. Pupils are placed on the waiting list for each year according to the date the Registration Fee is received. Pupils are given priority on the waiting list if they are:- the sibling of a pupil who has been at CCS for more than one term
- a former pupil of CCS
- the child of a current employee of the Canggu Club
- the child of a member of the Canggu Club.
The following category is currently not relevant, but will be applied in the future:
- the child of a former pupil of CCS.
If no place is available for the entry date for which a pupil applies, he/she will be automatically transferred to the next term’s waiting list. At the end of the school year a pupil's name on the waiting list will be transferred to the next year level.
Upon notification of a place being available, the pupil at the top of the waiting list will be offered that place. If the offer can not be accepted, it will be offered directly to the next person on the waiting list.
We strongly recommend early registration as waiting lists are currently building.
Withdrawal Notice
The School’s ability to minimise fee increases for all parents is very much dependent on enrolment numbers in each year. To help the School to manage enrolments efficiently, it is very important that parents give at least one term’s notice of withdrawal, in writing, before the start of a term. Failure to give one full term’s notice will result in the forfeiture of the Refundable Notice Deposit (RND).
